Unit 4 returns to place value and decimal work. We will examine patterns when we multiply by powers of 10 (by 10, 100, 1,000) and advance our computation skills to multiplying multidigit numbers with and without decimals.
Multiplying with decimals is a major focus of the unit. We'll examine place value shifts and learn how to place decimals in our products. Many thanks to this 5th grader for taking the time to make a refresher video on basic multiplication of whole numbers. We need to know that before we can move on to decimal work!
